Let me share a few ideas with you:
1. You do not receive love from someone. Love is something you feel because of the thoughts you are having about a person.
2. Relationships are not there to make you happy/ whole /safe /confident. You have to fulfill yourself first.
3. Set an intention for a healthy relationship: Two people who come together to connect with each-other in a way that enhances their lives. They are independent, responsible for their own emotions, thoughts and needs. When they connect they “produce” something better than what they had individually.
4. Find someone who is easy for you to love.
5. Evaluate which of your wants match your partner’s. Do not make her/him do anything she/he doesn’t want, as it will cause resentment and disconnection.
6. You don’t have to place all of your connection needs on your partner. You can have friends to work out with or to talk about sports, politics, with whom you can brainstorm about business ideas..
7. Know yourself and your deal breakers.
Analyze your desires and whys.
Sometimes you can work on yourself instead of waiting for others to fulfil your needs.
8. Stay true to your commitments.
