When men suppress and avoid their emotions, they also reject the natural human need to be seen, heard and appreciated by others.
To be seen for who they truly are, not what their status, clothing, money or the surface is telling about them.
Since society did not allow men to show up just the way they are: with their challenges, weaknesses, emotions or needs, they unlearned or never learned to share them. This lead them to push away their need for natural intimacy and closeness, which is a rejection of their own humanity.
I believe that having a tribe, with open minden, trustable, conscious “brothers” enhances the quality of men’s life, their emotional and mental health, furthermore heals some parts of them, which were hurt growing up and by society’s absurd expectations..
I have been holding the space for men’s circles in the last 1,5 years and had the honor to experience it’s magic.
Have you ever been part of a men’s group?
